Indiana Reunion

We had a great time in Indiana at our anual family reunion. We spent a lot of time catching up with family about how their past year has gone. It was great to see everyone. We take advantage of the absolutely beautifull flowers that our cousin Janet has in her back yard every year. We use them for our backdrop for the kid's pictures. Thanks Janet for keeping them up so nicely!!! "

The actual reunion day was a lot of excitement. Theresa and I are in charge of the kids games and prizes each year. We also had a frozen t-shirt and water balloon laucner competition for the adults to join in on this year. It was so hot that we ended up with a lot of willing family. They had to first pull their teams frozen t-shirt apart and one of them had to get it on their body to win. They were sooooo cold! After the game the kids were all stealing the shirts to put them on too.

My dad and Theresa pulling apart their frozen t-shirt.

Jazmyn with her frozen t-shirt on!

Faith and the gang preparing their balloon launcher to soak the adults!

We look forward to this trip every year. I just wish we could have stayed longer! Now we are back home and back to our normal every day busy busy life. My mom and I head to Dallas at the end of this upcoming week for 4 days. We are going to our BeautiControl National Celebration. We are both very excited to be going for a fun getaway and to gain more tools to further our business. I am only dreading being sooo far away from Jazmyn. I can totally handle the four days without her sweet smile but its the idea of being 9 or10 hours away that I am dreading. Usually she is only 30 minutes away at Bam-ma and Papa's. Texas is a LONG ways! I'm sure many of you understand all of the thoughts that can run through a mother's head when she is so far from her babies. But I do know that her Daddy and her aunt Theresa will take such good care of her. She will probably not even know that I am gone....(and yet another reason to be sad...lol). Say a prayer for me, and all of us....I leave early Thursday morning and come home Sunday night.

Jonathan didn't get to go with us so I will add a few pics of him soon. I hope everyone is doing great. Take care. Love ya, Kimberly

packing for family REUNION

Good morning everyone....

<------ Jazmyn and Hopie dancing with excitement! WHY? you may ask.

We are busy here at our house packing for much anticipated annual family REUNION (my mom's side)trip to Indiana. Jeovany and the kids and I look forward to this trip all year long. We always have such a good time and enjoy the time away. We leave Friday early afternoon after daycare kids go home for the day. Jazmyn is thrilled because this year Anna gets to go with her and we've actually added Ellie for this year again. She was begging like crazy and since Jonathan had something else going on that weekend and couldn't go we decided to go ahead and snatch Ellie for a few days too. They will have a ball being together I'm sure.

I will put some pictures on our blog when we get home next week. Have a great weekend!

Our precious children
<-------Jazmyn Leah, our little mischievious angel!
------->Top to Bottom:
Jonathan, Elizabeth, Anna, and Jazmyn.
It's quite the crew!

All the latest info....

Good evening....
I am creating this blog to help stay in touch with family and friends. I'm not sure who will read it and if they will enjoy reading it or not...but we shall see! Please respond if you'd like, I'd love to read your responses.

First and foremost....Jazmyn! She is doing fabulous. She is such a little sweetheart! She will be four years old on Aug. 14th and its so hard to believe that she is growing up this fast. Her favorite things are babies...real ones and dolls. I babysit and currently have all newborns so she is in heaven everyday getting to help with EVERY aspect of their day. I really have to watch her though. Just a few days ago, as I was sitting at the computer while the babies napped, she decided that one of them needed me and thus brought him to me. That included about 14 stairs along the way. AAHHH!!! Amazingly she really does a good job with them and seems to know exactly how to hold them. I can only imagine what it will be like someday when we bring our next one home.

Many of you know that Jazmyn has had a couple eye surgeries for her EXOTROPIA. She is doing pretty good since the last surgery. We continue to go back to Children's Mercy about every 3 to 5 weeks for follow ups. She is currently still wearing a patch 5 hours everyday to strengthen the weaker eye. Overall she tolerates it all extremely well. It will be an ongoing adventure with her little eyes, however we continue to be thankful that it is only a minor ordeal.

My step children are all really growing up. They have all been able to enjoy some extra time here during the summer. We have been going to the park a lot and the pool that is just up the road. Ellie is a big help with my daycare babies. Anna will be making the trip to Indiana to our family reunion this year. They take turns every year and she is thrilled that this year is hers! I am looking forward to it, but also already dreading the fighting between Jazzy and Anna. Of all the kids, they are the most alike. Its amazing to me that two girls are not together all the much can be soooo similar. Which tells me they get there stubbornness from their daddy of course! On occasion they play really well together, but when they fight watch out. They are both usually the babies in their household and that tends to cause some problems when they are together. That 9 hour trip is starting to scare me!! I'll update you in August as to how it goes...lol.

Jeovany and I are doing great. We sold our house in Oak Grove and moved back closer to family last September. It has been good for Jazmyn to see Bam-ma and Papa more. She told me one day that she thinks she just wanted to live at Bam-ma's and that daddy and I could just come visit her anytime we wanted to. That was a little heart wrenching for daddy to hear, but as he prodded her to go pack ALLL of her clothes and things she quickly changed her mind. We are absolutely loving being parents together. It is such a joy to have them in our lives. There is never a boring day with kids around.

I am going to close this post for now before anyone gets tired of reading. Rest assured that future posts will not be so lengthy. Take care, Love to all,

Kimberly
