About 2 weeks ago Jazmyn had a loose tooth. We had just gone to church and were in the car on the way home and Jazzy told me, "mommy my tooth really hurts, I think I need to go to the Dentist." So I told her when we got home I would take a look at it. Well she didn't need a Dentist...she just had an extremely loose tooth and it was loose all of a sudden! She wiggled it ALL day long but insisted that I could NOT pull it. About half way through the day her tooth was sticking straight out the front of her mouth and finally she turned to me and said, "Mommy, just pull it now!" I took one slight tug and it was OUT! She was sooo excited....Jumping up and down and skipping all the way to the bathroom where all of a sudden I hear a VERY LOUD Screeching SCREAM........AAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! I of course ran to her as quickly as I could only to figure out that the mere sight of blood was terrifying her. Let me remind you...she skipped rather joyfully to the bathroom only moments before....so I knew she wasn't hurting. It took a second but I was able to console her and convince her that what she was seeing was normal and it was supposed to happen like that....lol! After a few minutes she was ready to call EVERYONE to tell them that she was so grown up now because she had lost a tooth! She had a solid week of SMILING as big as possible so everyone could see her treasured smile!!!! Waat a sweetheart~!
Later that night, Jazmyn wrote the tooth fairy a note (in her very own words) and we left the tooth and note under her pillow for the night. I was hoping that this would help with the whole..."not coming to mommy and daddy's bed at 3 am" thing...but....I guess she decided the tooth fairy would find her tooth no matter where she was sleeping! Here are a few pictures, you can enlarge them to see up close! She was quite proud of this day as she should be!!!! I can't believe my baby is growing up so fast!
My little princess!!!!
She woke up to a very shiny glitter filled bed, glitter in her hair and on her pillow, her tooth (so mommy could keep the first one of course)....and a special glitter filled note. Do other mom's keep their kids' teeth...hmmm.....or am I a little obsessive and cant' turn loose of my baby.....?O well...... :)
We hope each and everyone of you have a fabulous Christmas with those you love. We are looking forward to Chad, Linh, Thu, and WALTER being home soon. Their original flight plans changed as they got to the airport in Hanoi last week only to have Walter's access denied. Hopefully all is fixed and we see them in about 36 hours! I can't wait to snuggle with Walter! He is such a cute little guy!
Merry Christmas With Love,
The Marimon's
